                                            MAGIC

Date of birth:August 16,1975
Place of birth:New Orleans,Louisiana,U.S.
Date deceased:March 1,2013 (aged 37)
Place of death:Hattiesburg,Misssissippi,U.S.
Cause of death:Car accident

About Magic:
He is one of the most recent deceased rappers.I remember him mostly by the song,''Can't Be Touched'',which he recorded with his group Body Head Bangerz.
To me,this song is like an anthem of all gyms. Not to mention that, this song is very motivating, especially knowing that Magic wasn't buffed before this music video.
It's also motivating to se a professional boxer,Roy Jones Jr. (who is the member of the Body Head Bangerz group),rapping in the music video.
I also like Magic's 2002 song,''What'',very much. The music video was pretty funny.I'm surprised it didn't reach more success.
As Magic was alive until just 2 years ago,and he was ''todays'' rapper,of course I was pretty shocked when I heard that he died, especially because I was listening Body Head Bangerz songs, every time I was exercising, and I still do.

Generally about Magic:
Magic (real name
Awood Johnson),was born on August 16,1975 in New Orleans,Louisiana,U.S.
He started rapping at the talent shows in New Orleans,in one of which he was noticed by rapper C-Murder,the brother of rapper, and No Limit Records owner,Master P.who signed him to the label.
After featuring on C-Murder's songs ''Picture Me'' and ''Watch Yo Enemies'',in 1998,he released his first solo album ''Sky's the Limit'',in the same year. The album achieved solid success, and it reached nr 15 on the Billboard 200.On August 31,1991,Magic released his second album Thuggin',the album peaked 25 on the Billboard 200.
After poor sales of his third album ''White Eyes'',and after overall decline of No Limit Records,Magic followed his former label mates and severed his relationship with No Limit in 2003.
He signed with Koch Records, for which he released as it turned, his last solo album,''On My Own''.The album was released on August 26,2003,just about 5 months after his last No Limit album,''White Eyes''.The album sold poorly, and it failed to reach charts.

In 2004,Magic joined fellow New Orleans rapper,Choppa and former heavyweight boxing champion Roy Jones Jr.,to form the group ''Body Head Bangerz'',with whom he released the album ''Body Head Bangerz: Volume One'',in the same year.
The album produced hits,''I Smoke I Drank'' and ''Can't Be Touched''.
In 2006,Magic was shortly signed to TVT Records, but he left without releasing any material.
In 2011,he founded his own record label,Banx Entertainment.

Magic's Death:
On March 1,2013,Magic and his wife Chastity were killed in a car accident in Hattiesburg,Mississippi.Their then 12-year-old daughter,Twila, was in the car,but fortunately she survived.

After Magic's death, many rap artists expressed their condolences, including Magic's group mates Choppa and Roy Jones Jr.,as well as Slikk The Shocker and his much more famous brother Mater P,even though they had a short beef after Magic's departure from No Limit.

                   THE N.W.A.-ICE CUBE BEEF

The begining:
Ice Cube was a part of the N.W.A. group, but he left the group in 1989 because of financial issues.
He began his solo career, and he did not insult his former group members on his first album, even though N.W.A. members called him a traitor.

Beef:
N.W.A.
were first to throw a punch,with the 2 songs on their 1990 EP,''100 Miles and Runnin'''.The tittle track contained the line:''We started with five,but yo/One couldn't take it-So now it's four/Cause the fifth couldn't make it'/The number's even-Now I'm leavin'''.This was a subtle diss to Ice Cube.

Also the song from this EP,called ''Real Niggaz'' was a diss to Ice Cube.

Ice Cube
still didn't respond to those disses with a song,he just briefly responded on his 1990 song ''Jackin' Fo' Beats'',with the line:''And if I jack you and you keep comin',I'l have you marks a 100 miles and running''!

N.W.A again responded on the song ''Alwayz Into Somethin''',from their last album ''Niggaz4Life'',released May 28,1991.They dissed Ice Cube with the line:''Dre I was speakin' to yo' bitch O'Shea'',(Ice Cube's real name is O'Shea Jackson).

Ice Cube finally responded with the famous diss song ''No Vaseline'',which was released October 29,1991.

Afetrmath:
You can really say that Ice Cube won this beef, because he responded so strongly that N.W.A didn't respond back. Not only that, but N.W.A broke down shortly after Ice Cube's diss.
Dr. Dre left the group and started dissing Eazy-E himself. He and Ice Cube reconciled in 1993,and all remaining, former N.W.A members did too, shortly before Eazy-E's death on March 26,1995.

                       THE JAY-Z-NAS BEEF

The begining:
The Jay-Z-Nas rivalry began after the death of Notorious B.I.G. in 1997,because two of them were candidates for the new ''King of New York''.The two were friends at the begining of their careers, but the friendship broke up when Nas and his groupmate AZ,didn't appear,as planned,on the Jay-Z song ''Bring it On''.Also,Jay-Z didn't pay Nas for using a vocal sample from his song ''The World is Yours'',as the chorus to his song ''Dead Presidents''.

Beef:
The actual beef started after Memphis Bleek made a reference to Nas,in his song ''My Mind Right''.The line ''your lifestyle's written'',was taken as a diss to the tittle of Nas' album ''It was written'', by Nas' friends and associates, the rap duo Mobb Deep.
Nas initially didn't want to respond, but Mobb Deep's Prodigy, and his friend now deceased rapper E-Money Bags (more about him, soon*) did,in some of his songs and interviews.
After that,beef officially started.

Jay-Z was first to make a diss song.He started with ''The Takeover''.

After the freestyle,''H to the Omo'',on the New York hip hop station Hot'97,Nas responded with his famous diss song,''Ether''.

Finally,Jay-Z responded with ''Supa Ugly''.

Aftermath:
The radio station Hot'97,issued a poll, asking their listeners which rapper made a better diss song,Nas with ''Ether'',or Jay-Z with ''Supa Ugly''.Nas won with
52%-48% ratio, also his song ''Ether'',was declared by the hip hop fans worldwide as one of the best diss songs ever.

Jay-Z and Nas discontinued their beef after 2002,making the beef  last, from 2001 to 2003,even though official beef ending was on Jay-Z's concert ''I Declare War''.in 2005,in which Nas was the guest artist. Also Nas signed for Def Jam Records in 2006,while Jay-Z was still a president of it,making this beef over for good.

Also:
Jay-Z and Nas are now friends, but who really won the beef?Fans did chose Nas as the winner,by declaring his song Ether as the best, but then again Nas signed for Jay-Z's label.

Tell us your opinion, who really won the beef,
JAY-Z or NAS?

                                             X1

Date of birth:?? 1979 (no relevant information about the birth date)
Place of birth:Brooklyn,New York,U.S.
Date deceased:July 5,2007 (aged 28)
Place of death:Las Vegas,Nevada,U.S.
Cause of death:Suicide

About X1:
I knew him only as a member of Onyx affiliate group,Gang Green, and also as a younger brother of much more famous rapper,Sticky Fingaz.
I first saw him in the Gang Green's music video, for the song ''I'll Murder You''.He was rapping in the end of the song.
I came across this song accidentally, when I searched some Onyx songs on the youtube. Now,I can't really tell if this was before or after X1's death, since I don't remember and I did not hear about his death until 2009,2 years after his death.
As far as the X1's rapping skills,I can say that he is very simmilar to his brother,Sticky Fingaz, but in the 1995 song,''I'll Murder You'',which I just mentioned,he was,I will dare to say, even better.I say this because all of these young rappers from the group Gang Green (which was composed of brothers and relatives of Onyx members),all of them rapped from the heart. That's why I really like this song,it's a pure rap, pure gangsta rap, rapped with so much energy. If you are real Gangsta Rap fan,be sure to check this song out.
Now let's say something about X1 in general, even though there are not many informations out there about him.

Generally About X1:
X1 (his real name is not known, but I assume his last name is Jones, since Sticky Fingaz's name is Kirk Jones),was born in Brooklyn,NY,U.S. in 1979.He is the brother of Onyx member,Sticky Fingaz and a cousin of another Onyx member,Fredro Starr. As a teenager,he joined the group Gang Green, which was composed of brothers and relatives of Onyx members. The group had only one notable single,''I'll Murder You'',in 1995.This song was also a skit on the Onyx album,''All We Got Iz Us'',but it was a little bit different than the actual song.
He was representing Southside Jamaica,Queens, like Sticky, and he was featured on every Onyx album, since the group's ''Shut 'Em Down album, from 1998.
It's interesting to mention that he appeared on the song ''React'',from the Onyx,in which 50 Cent first appeared. The song was released in 1998,and X1's verse came right after 50 Cent's.He was shortly signed to Mike Tyson's now defunct label Tyson Records. After that, his next and as it will turn, his last deal was with Ball 'R Records, which is based in Las Vegas, were he then lived and later was found dead. His last album was ''Young,Rich & Gangsta''.

X1's Death:
On July 5,2007,X1 was found dead in his Las Vegas hotel room.He committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. The reason was unknown.

                                  DOLLA

Date of birth:November 25,1987
Place of birth:Chicago,Illinois,U.S.
Date deceased:May 18,2009 (aged 21)
Place of death:Los Angeles,California,U.S.
Cause of death:Murder

About Dolla:

Dolla was one of the ''new age rappers'',and he was killed when he was at the very beginning of his career.Interestingly,I heard about him just about a month before his death, but didn't pay any attention to him at the time, because,to be honest with you,I wasn't really into his music at the time.

But then,in May,2009,just one or two days after his death,I saw somewhere on the internet that Dolla was killed. This got me interested in his life, and I checked on the youtube some of his songs.
Even though I'm not so much into ''new age rap'',and I'm more of mid 90s,and early 2000s rap songs fan,I really liked his song ''Who the Fuck Is That?'',which featured T-Pain and Tay Dizm.
It's kind of a party song to me,and to this day I can't imagine my parties without this song.
It's interesting to mention that Dolla stated in one interview, that he was inspired by 2pac's poem,''The Rose That Grew from Concrete''.
He was also shot, some time before his death, and had a tatoo on his stomach as a reminder.
His death proved that unfortunately,to this day,to be a rapper is a very dangerous profession. He died way to early and way to young.

Generally about Dolla:
Dolla (real name
Roderick Anthony Burton II) was born on November 25,1987 in Chicago,Illinois,U.S.However,he grow up in Decatur,Georgia. He had a twin brother, who died at birth, and two sisters.
A childhood was tough for him as he and his sister witnessed their father committing suicide by shooting himself.Dolla was only only 5 years old when that happened.
He began his career in the group called ''Da Razkalz Cru'',and later in the group called ''The Gang''.He went by the name Bucklyte,at the time.    The group signed with the label Elektra Records, and released the single ''So Fly'' in 2003.The single wasn't successful enough, and the group was dropped from the label shortly after.
But fortunately for Dolla,he caught the eye of Missy Elliot and P. Diddy, and after the group was dropped,Dolla started working as a model for Diddy's Sean John clothes line.Shortly after,Dolla met famous R&B singer,Akon. He signed him to his Konvict Muzik in 2007.Right after that, with the help of Akon and his own manager,he signed for the Jive Records. Then,on December 18,2007,Dolla's debut single,''Who the Fuck Is That?'',(featuring T-Pain,Tay Dizm, and Akon on the song's remix),which is his most successful and most famous song. The song reached nr. 82 on the Billboard Hot 100.He also had a song on the Step Up soundtrack a year before that, named ''Feelin' Myself''.which was interpretation of Mac Dre song of the same name. Two more singles were released in 2008,''I'm Fucked Up'',and ''Make a Toast''.
But problems for Dolla has started, when he was arrested in Atlanta,on October 20,2008,on weapon charges.

Dolla's Death:

On May 18,2009,Dolla flew to Los Angeles to record the rest of his album. At te Beverly Center in L.A.,he had an argument with Aubrey Louis Berry, with whom he had a fight in an Atlanta nightclub on May 7,2009.Berry went to the parking lot,and Dolla and his two friends followed him. After exchanging some words,Berry pulled out the gun,Dolla tried to escape, but Berry shoot him 4 times in the back. One bullet pierced through Dolla's heart,an that was the fatal wound from which he died.
Later that evening,Aubrey Louis Berry was arrested at the Los Angeles International Airport. He surrended without a struggle.
On May 22,2009,Berry was charged with murder and assault, but he pleaded not guillty.
At the trial,Berry's lawyer mentioned that Dolla and his friends beat him up in Atlanta on May 7,2009,just 11 days before Dolla's death.
Alleged motive for his beating was over the drink, which Berry accidentally spilled on a girl who was in Dolla's entourage.
It was also mentioned that Dolla had ties to a West Los Angeles street gang,Mansfield Gangster Crips, and that the lyrics of his songs were of violent content.
Berry also stated that he killed Dolla in self-defense,as he thought that Dolla was reaching for his gun.
However, prosecutors stated that no gun was found on the victim's body, and that his song lyrics were irrelevant, beacuse it is just an art,and many other successful rappers use violent lyrics too.
On May 21,2010,a jury acquitted Berry of first degree murder and all other charges.
Dolla's furneal was held May,23 in his hometown Atlanta, and was held in Muslim style, known as Janazah.

I will also add that, even though is very possible that Dolla is fault for his own death, because he did beat up Aubrey Louis Berry, and possibly threaten him,in this case,it's very hard to find out the real thruth. And there is also a video on youtube, from the Berry's trial, and to me,it was so hard to see Dolla's mother struggling through tears when a jury acquitted Berry, because the fact is that,he did kill him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtB0fX58AM0

As I said,it's hard to find out if Berry was really inocent or not,I will not make any conclusions, but I can end this post with the Dolla's own words,''Just whatever you tryna do,you gotta work hard at it,never give up,if you belive,it's gonna happen''.

                                    FREAKY TAH

Date of birth:May 14,1971
Place of birth:South Jamaica,Queens,New York,U.S.
Date deceased:March 28,1999 (aged 27)
Place of death:Queens,New York,U.S.
Cause of death:Murder

About Freaky Tah:

I did love to listen Lost Boyz's songs, but I didn't knew too much about them, only about their lead rapper
Mr. Cheeks. However,I did remember Freaky Tah as ''that guy in the background'',who reminded me of Busta Rhymes very much,by his voice, but also by his appearance.

Since Freaky Tah was more of a hype man than rapper, there isn't too much to say about his rapping skills, but I can say that, for sure,he was one of the best hype men,and was appreciated on the hip hop scene.

His death caused a breakdown of the Lost Boyz group.

Generally about Freaky Tah:

Freaky Tah (real name
Raymond Rogers) was born on May 14,1971,in South Jamaica Queens,New York.Through his whole career,he was a member of the Lost Boyz group, along with Mr. Cheeks,DJ Spigg Nice and Pretty Lou.
They started their career in 1995,when their debut single ''Lifestyles Of The Rich & Shameless'',was released. The song was a big hit,but not as big as their 1996 single,''Renee''.This song was the most successful single from the group, reaching number 33 on the Billboard Hot 100.Both singles were fetured on their debut album ''Legal Drug Money'',that was released on June 4,1996.It was the groups most successful album, and it also went gold by the RIAA.

The Lost Boyz released their second album,''Love,Peace & Nappiness'',on June 17,1997.The album wasn't as nearly popular as their debut album, but still managed to sell more than 500.000 copies, which again made the album certified Gold by the RIAA.

The group fall apart after Freaky Tah's murder,on March 28,1999.However,they were able to finish their third, and the last album,''LB IV Life'',which was released on September 28,1999,precisely 6 months after Freaky Tah's death.

Freaky Tah's Death:

At the early morning of March 28,1999,Freaky Tah and the other members of the Lost Boys, attended a birthday party for fellow group member Mr. Cheeks, which took place at the Sheraton Hotel in Queens,New York. After exiting the hotel,Freaky Tah was shot in the head.He was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:20 am.
He was shot only once, but since the bullet hit the head,it was a fatal wound.

For a long time,it was believed by the police, that this murder is connected to Big L's murder, which has occurred just a month before. But soon it was denied, and the real truth was discovered.Assassinators were Raheem Fletcher,(who was the getaway driver),and Kelvin Jones, who are both convicted in 2001 for the murder of Freaky Tah.The alleged motive for killing Freaky Tah,is the killing of Jones' half brother Michael Saunders, two months before, for which Kelvin Jones mistakenly believed that Freaky Tah was related to.The reason why Jones made that misconception,is because Saunders was close with Lost Boyz's alleged rivals Hell Razor Pham. But,that is not the end of  bizarre mistakes in this case, because Michael Saunders was too killed by mistake.Allegedly,he was standing next to the real target, unidentified man who had robbed one of the members of the Lost Boyz.Someone who was close to the Lost Boyz, wanted revenge and killed Saunders by mistake.
But if you think that is the end of killings by mistake, you are wrong. As strange as it seems,3 days after Freaky Tah's death,on March 31,1999,Freaky Tah's friend, allegedly killed an innocent man,for which he thought was a killer of Freaky Tah. http://www.timesledger.com/stories/2003/16/20030417-archive120.html

                              JAM MASTER JAY

Date of birth:January 21,1965
Place of birth:Brooklyn,New York,U.S.
Date deceased:October 30,2002 (aged 37)
Place of death:Jamaica,Queens,New York,U.S.
Cause of death:Murder

About Jam Master Jay:
I don't even have to say that he was one of the greatest rappers (DJs) ever.As a part of worldwide famous hip-hop group
Run-D.M.C.,which already became famous in 1984,with the hits like ''Sucker MC's'' and ''It's Like that'',it's only reasonable to say that, they were one of the hip-hop pioneers. They are also responsible for breaking the hip-hop music into the mainstream. To this day, they are listened by,not only hip-hop fans, but also by music lovers in general.

In my personal view,i can say that,I am more of a gangsta rap (golden era) fan, than an old school rap fan,so I'm not a very big connoisseur of Jam Master Jay's life. But I can say that he was a pure genius, and I enjoy listening to Run-D.M.C. songs. It's also important to say that,Jam Master Jay was most probably responsible for the big success of 50 Cent,by believing in him when nobody did.Which unfortunately most likely got him killed.

Generally about Jam Master Jay:

Jam Master Jay (real name
Jason William Mizell) was born on January 21,1965,in Brooklyn,New York,U.S.Since his childhood,he showed his music talent by learning to play trumpet, bass, guitar and drums. At the age of 10,he moved out to Hollis,Queens, where he discovered the turntables, which soon led to his DJ career at the age of 13.

He was DJing at the at the bars and parties, and was part of several garage bands, before joining the Run-D.M.C. in 1982.
The group was established when 2 rappers,Joshep ''Run'' Simmons (younger brother of the co-founder of Def Jam Records,Russell Simmons),and Darryl ''D.M.C.'' McDaniels, graduated from highschool. They were first rapping for Jam Master Jay on the parties (at the time,DJ's were much more appreciated than rappers),and then asked him to join the group,so he could DJ for them.

The group's debut album,''Run-D.M.C.'',was released on March 27,1984.The album was very successful, and its 2 singles,''It's Like That'',and ''Sucker M.C.'s'',completely changed hip hop music, making it mainstream. After the ''King of Rock'' album, from 1985,which was,as the title says, more of the rock, than hip hop sound,''Raising Hell'' was released in 1986.It was one of the most appreciated albums in hip hop history. The album went triple-platinum,and was listened, even by large amount of non hip hop fans. Some notable hits from this album were,''It's Tricky'',''Walk This Way'',and ''My Adidas''.

After this success, the group will release 3 more albums,''Tougher Than  Leather'',in 1988,''Back from Hell'' in 1990,and ''Down with the King'' in 1993,before the group's breakup.

Jam Master Jay already established his own record label,''Jam Master Jay Records'' in 1989,and started to work with new upcoming talents. One of them was,now worldwide famous rap group Onyx, and later JMJ has discovered the talent of now one of the most successful rappers in general,50 Cent.

Shortly before his death,Jam Master Jay and the other 2 members of Run-D.M.C.,reunited.It was in 2001,just a year before JMJ was fatally shot. After reunification,Run-D.M.C.,had some comeback concerts and they also released their comeback, and as it turns their last studio album named ''Crown Royal''.The album had a medium success, most likely because there were guest stars (like Nas,Fat Joe,Method Man,etc.) featured in every song, except the tittle track.
After Jam Master Jay's death,Run and DMC,the remaining two members of the Run-D.M.C.,disbanded the group, stating that there is no point for the existence of the group, without Jam Master Jay.

Jam Master Jay's Death:
On October 30,2002,Jam Master Jay was working in a recording studio,in Jamaica,Queens. At approximately 7:30 pm,unindetified man entered the studio with his accessory (which is belived it was Ronald ''Tenad'' Washington),and fired the shots in JMJ.He died shortly after, because of severity of the wounds. The other person in the studio,Urieco Rincorn was shot in the ankle, but survived. The assassinator was never found (drug dealer named Curtis Scoon was only suspect at the time, but charges against him were dropped),and alleged accessory ''Ronald ''Tenad'' Washington'',was arrested, but later released due to the lack of evidence. It's interesting to mention, that Tenad was a suspect in the 1995 murder of Randy ''Stretcht'' Walker,a former associate of 2pac,who was accused by 2pac himself, for betrayal, after 1994 shooting in Quad Studios. It is also common belief, that JMJ's murder was ordered by Kenneth ''Supreme'' McGriff,a convicted drug dealer. The same guy who was convicted for ordering the murder of Mobb Deep affiliate E-Moneybags.He was also the main suspect for connections in attempted murder of 50 Cent.50 Cent himself claimed that Jam Master Jay's murder is connected to attempt of his murder in 2000.The motive for shooting both 50 Cent and Jam Master Jay,was 50 Cent song ''Ghetto Qu'ran''(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FhVdohucJ4),in which he revealed all criminal activities in Jamaica,Queens, including Supreme's.After this song,50 Cent was shot 9 times, but survived.Since they weren't able to kill him,it's rumored that Supreme and his long time friends,Irv and Chris Gotti (owners of the Murder Inc.),put 50 Cent on the industry blacklist. But Jam Master Jay defied them, because he believed in 50 Cent, and that's probably the reason why he was killed.

In 2003,Kenneth ''Supreme'' McGriff was investigated for murder of JMJ,but soon was released, because of the lack of evidence.Neither Supreme, neither Gotti brothers (which is the reason why 50 Cent started the beef with Murder Inc.),or anybody else for that matter, was convicted, because there is just no proof for that. However McGriff was convicted in 2007,for some other crimes.

Who ever was an assassinator of Jam Master Jay,he surely didn't have any respect, what so ever for this hip hop legend.

                                         MC BREED

Date of birth:June 12,1971
Place of birth:Flint,Michigan
Date deceased:November 22,2008 (aged 37)
Place of death:Ypsilanti,Michigan
Cause of death:Kidney failure

About MC Breed:
Breed was the rapper, which I always remembered only as that guy who made the song ''
Gotta Get Mine'' with 2pac,and also by his song,''Ain't No Future in Yo Frontin''.But I wasn't the only one. Those two songs are his most famous songs, and I know many hip hop fans who have only heard about these two songs by MC Breed,(although I heard some of his other songs recently, and they are pretty good). As for my general opinion about him,I can say that I always looked at MC Breed as a typical 90s rapper by his style, and every time I wanted to ''go back'' in the 90s,I listened to his songs, especially,''Gotta Get Mine''.Not just because of 2pac,but because Breed was great too,and they both made that song the hip-hop classic. It's interesting to mention that MC Breed was born just 4 days before 2pac.Although I must say that,to me,he looked much older than 2pac.But that's irrelevant. It's more important to say that,is sad how one more 90s rapper, died before his old age.Although I got to mention that,at least he wasn't killed, like many other rappers were. But still,it was a lil' bit of shocking to me,as a hard hip hop fan, when I found out that he died.Especially knowing that he was a friend of 2pac's.

Generally about MC Breed:
MC Breed (real name Eric Breed) was born on June 12,1971,in Flint Michigan. He released his first album,at the age of 20,on November 12,1991.The album was called,''MC Breed & DFC''.It was a colaboration with the group DFC,which member was MC Breed's cousin,Alpha ''Al'' Breed. The album has produced the two hit singles,''Ain't  No Future in Yo Frontin''' which made it to nr. 12 of Hot Rap Singles, and ''Just Kickin' It'',which made it to nr. 10 of Hot Rap Singles. After this success,MC Breed became the first commercially successful rapper from the Midwest. His first solo album which was called,''20 Below'',was released on May 5,1992.The album had a solid success, but not as good as his first album with DFC.As MC Breed was working with G-Funk sound (among with other sounds),he became a friend with some of the westcoast rappers, like The D.O.C.,Spice 1,Too Short and 2pac.It was colaboration with 2pac,on his third album ''The New Breed'' (April 27,1993),that produced his probably the best hit,''Gotta Get Mine'' which made it to nr. 6 on the Hot Rap Singles.2pac was featured in two songs,''Comin' Real Again'' and already mentioned ''Gotta Get Mine''.Although that single was big success,''The New Breed'' wasn't Breed's most successful album. It was his next album ''Funkafied'',which was released on June 7,1994.The album peaked #9 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. After this success,MC Breed released more than a 10 albums before his death, but never broke into the mainstream again. His last album, which was not a compalation album, was released on August 24,2004,under the name ''The New Perscription''.After that release,a problems started to coming for MC Breed.First he was sentenced to one year in prison for violation of probation in failure to pay more than $200,000
in child support. After his release from prison in 2007,he was again arrested on April 3,2008 for the same reason.

MC Breed's Death:
On September 5,2008,MC Breed was hospitalized and placed on life-support after he collapsed when his kidneys failed during a game of pickup basketball. At the time,he was working on his new album ''The Original Breed: Swag Heavy''.After he was released from the hospital two days after collapsing,he stated that album is half finished.Unfortunately,he never get a chance to finish it,because he died in his sleep,on November 22,2008,while he was at his friend's house in Ypsilanti,Michigan.Right before his death he was preparing to release a documentary about his life, tittled:''Where Is MC Breed?''.He recorded his last song,''Everyday I wait'',just two days before his death. The song has featured the Outlawz.

                 RAPPERS WHO'VE BEEN SHOT
                    BUT STAYED ALIVE

About the post:
Unlike my earlier posts in which I wrote about deceased rappers,in this post,I'm going to show you the other side. The one that didn't end up tragically. It's the list of some famous rappers, who've been shot, but fortunately, not killed.Of course, that doesn't mean I'm going to stop posting about deceased rappers.I will continue to paying a tribute to them,in my next posts, just like I did in my previous ones. But now, let's see some of this rappers who were stronger than death.

1.   50 CENT

Probably the most famous shooting in rap industry,in which the protagonist survived.
On April 24,2000,50 Cent was shot 9 times,
after visiting his grandma in South Jamaica,
Queens
.Darryl ''Hommo'' Baum was alleged
shooter.50 Cent survived, but karma had come to his shooter, shortly afterwards. He was killed just three weeks after.Rumor has it that Hommo (short for homicide),was hired by former drug lord,Kenneth ''Supreme'' McGriff, because 50 Cent talked about his business in the song ''Ghetto Qu'ran''.Supreme was later allegedly connected to murders of Jam Master Jay,and E-Moneybags,about which I'm gonna write in my next posts. It's also interesting to mention that Darryl ''Hommo'' Baum was Mike Tyson's close friend and bodyguard.50 Cent also stated that Supreme had ties to Murder Inc.,which is one of the reasons why 50 Cent-Ja Rule beef has escalated.

2.   LLOYD BANKS

One more G-Unit member who got shot.It happend in 2001,outside of the club in South Jamaica,Queens. He was shot once in the stomach and once in the back, but wounds were only superficial.According to Lloyd Banks himself, his shooting was act of random violence,it wasn't the part of some altercation.

3.   THE GAME

I guess it was important to be shot,if you wanted to join the G-Unit,'cause The Game was shot prior to joining the group. Before he became famous,he used to sell drugs in Compton. On October 1,2001, at approximatelly 2 a.m.,while he was alone in his apartment,he heard knock on the door.Expecting a late night sale,Game opened the door and saw his regular costumer. But this time it was different, because his costumer came with 2 other men. They tried to rob him,and then the fight started. The Game tried to reach his gun,but one of the attackers shot him 5 times before he could reach it.He managed to call the ambulance, but due to the severity of his wounds,he went into a three-day coma. The Game survived and became famous, but also left the G-Unit later, because of the beef with his former group associates.

4.   CAM'RON

No,he wasn't shot for wearing pink,he was the victim of carjacking. On October 23,2005,after performing in nightclub in Washington D.C.,he was driving his 2006 Lamborghini. He had to stop at the red light.Right after that,a passenger from a car that stopped next to his, started to threat Cam'ron to give up his car.Cam'ron resisted, which angered a carjacker, and he started to shoot at him.Cam'ron was shot in his right arm, whose nerve was damaged. The attacker escaped.

5.   OBIE TRICE
One more rapper who had a crazy luck.On December 31,2005,while driving on the highway near Detroit,4 bullets (or 6 by other sources) were fired at Trice's Range Rover. Two of them hit Obie Trice. One of them caused a serious wound, because bullet entered his skull.Even though he had a bullet in his head,Obie Trice managed to drive off the highway, where his girlfriend alarmed the police. He was taken to the hospital, and was released later that day,but it was to risky to remove the bullet,so to this day,it's still lodged to his skull.Shooters were never found.

6.   FABOLOUS
Not so spectacular shooting, like others on this list, but is notable to mention.Fabolous was shot in his right leg,on October 17,2006,after leaving Diddy's restaurant in Manhattan. He was then, treated in hospital for 8 days, after which he was released. There were some rumors about the motives of shooting, once even included NBA star Sebastian Telfair, but since they are not confirmed,it's pointless to write about them.

7.   SPICE 1
A little bit forgotten rapper, who was a star of G-Funk Era in the 90's.Well known for his hit songs,''Strap on the Side'' and ''The Murda Show'',as well as for his collaborations with 2pac,Mc Eiht and Method Man.Spice 1 was shot on the morning of December 3,2007,while sitting in his Cadillac Escalade, which was parked in front of his parents' house in Hayward,California. He survived, but suffered a collapsed lung.Spice 1 stated that, this shooting was related to a simple robbery, not some sort of conflict.

8.
YOUNG BUCK

How else could I end this list, than with a
G-Unit member?!I put him on the list, even though is not clear if he was injured or not.Informations which were confirmed said that,on March 4,2012,Young Buck's vehicle was hit 11 times in drive-by shooting.I remember that I was on facebook that day,and I read somewhere that Buck was injured from drive-by shooting in his hometown,Nashville. However,it's a general opinion today, that Young Buck wasn't injured at all,but his car was indeed hit 11 times, after his group had an altercation in a night club.

Notable mentions:
At the end,I have to mention 2 shootings, that ODB,and 2pac survived, before they died.ODB was shot in 1994 after an argument with another rapper, and again in 1998,after a home invasion robbery.2pac was shot on November 30,1994 in the lobby of Manhattan studio,in famous and very controversial case. Both of the rappers have survived those shootings, but unfortunately died afterwards.ODB from drug overdose, and 2pac from another shooting.
